Resources available to patients during treatment
We will make referrals for you for all services that you might need before you start your treatment. These services may include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and dietetics.
Inis Aoibhinn (the Lodge) provides residential care for patients receiving radiotherapy at University Hospital Galway. At Inis Aoibhinn, you can stay with a family member or a friend while you are receiving your treatment. You will have complete independence at Inis Aoibhinn. You need to be able to walk independently from Inis Aoibhinn to the Radiation Oncology Centre for your daily treatments. We will organise accommodation for you at Inis Aoibhinn if you need to stay there during your treatment.
