Galway University Hospitals
GUH hospitals include Merlin Park University Hospital and University Hospital Galway. Most of our cancer services are delivered at the main Cancer Centre at University Hospital Galway.
University Hospital Galway
There are a number of cancer services involved in your care at University Hospital Galway. You may have to attend more than one service. All of our staff here are committed to giving you the best care possible and to support you on your journey. Our aim is to treat you with dignity, respect and sensitivity.
We will develop a treatment plan for you if you are diagnosed with cancer.
Your treatment may be given to you in our Haematology Oncology Day Ward or our In-patient wards.
You may also need surgery or radiotherapy.
We might give you other anti-cancer medications such as injections or tablets in our Haematology Oncology Day Ward or our In-patient wards.

Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) Outreach Clinic
We run a Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) Outreach clinic for the delivery of pre-agreed low-risk SACT and supportive medications for cancer patients in Merlin Park University Hospital on Fridays. If you are suitable to receive your treatment in our Merlin Park service your medical team will refer you.
Opening hours: Our Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) Outreach Clinic is open on Fridays from 7.30am -5pm

Directions: It is located in the Merlin Park Infusion Unit, Unit 1 in Merlin Park University Hospital, at the second turn right after you enter from the main front entrance, in the building to the left of the shop. Some parking spaces are available outside Block B at the second turn right.
