Sligo University Hospital is inviting parents and their families who have experienced bereavement through the death of a baby or child or who have experienced pregnancy loss to a Remembrance Service which will take place in St Anne’s Small Chapel, Cranmore on Monday, 21 November at 8pm.
The Children's Remembrance Committee at University Hospital Galway will hold their annual Golden Enrolment Mass in memory of deceased colleagues on Saturday, 12 November at 7pm in the Chapel of all Saints, Merlin Park University Hospital.

Mayo University Hospital remains under significant pressure with high attendances in recent days.
All available beds are in use. Every effort is being made to discharge patients who are ready to go home so that beds will become available for patients who need to be admitted, at the earliest opportunity.
A new Wellness Walkway at Mayo University Hospital was officially launched last week by Prof Brian Dolan OBE.
The walkway, which is located on the first floor of the hospital, aims to promote the health and wellbeing of patients during their recovery from illness and injury. The walkway is 130m long with exercise stations and seated areas to allow patients get away from the busy ward environment.

The Patient Advice and Liaison Service Co-ordinator acts as the main contact between patients, their families, carers and the hospital. They ensure that the patient voice is heard either through the patient directly or through a nominated representative.

Mayo University Hospital (MUH) has officially opened a designated room in the Maternity Unit for bereaved families. The Rose Room is named in memory of baby Hope Rose Caulfield who sadly died in 2017 aged 9 days old. Hope Rose’s parents Sandra and Jonathan Caulfield from Kiltimagh have fundraised significantly for the renovation of this space which will support the hospital in providing comfort and solace to families dealing with loss.
