Access for visitors to Mayo University Hospital will resume from Monday 11 April.
Access for visitors will be by appointment only. Patients identify who they would like to visit and staff then telephone the nominated support person and offer a time slot.

Our hospitals are dealing with outbreaks of COVID-19 affecting a number of wards. We will only allow visits to these wards on an exceptional basis, and on compassionate grounds. To arrange a visit, please contact the ward manager.
Staff working in University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park University Hospital have contributed to an evocative exhibition, sharing their thoughts and reflections on the COVID-19 pandemic. The exhibition is on display in the Arts Corridors in UHG and in Merlin Park until the end of April.
The Roscommon Vaccination Centre on the Golf Links Road in Roscommon Town will close on Sunday 27 March. After this date, people over the age of 12 who wish to get a dose 1, dose 2 or booster vaccine dose will be able to go to any other vaccination centre listed on hse.ie or to a participating pharmacy. Parents/guardians of children aged 5 to 11 can go to any of the vaccination centres listed on hse.ie for dose 1 or dose 2.
Visiting restrictions remain in place at Letterkenny University Hospital as the site continues to be severely impacted by COVID-19.
The hospital is seeing a significant increase in COVID-19 positive admissions and attendances, while also dealing with high volumes of non-Covid patients. There are 84 patients with COVID-19 being treated in the hospital today. Currently there are 11 wards affected by COVID-19 outbreaks.
Booster doses of COVID-19 vaccine are now available for those eligible aged 12 years and over at Ballybrit Vaccination Centre by booking their own appointment in advance or by coming to a walk-in clinic.
Walk-in clinics for those aged 12 and older are taking place on:
Saturday 12 March - 8.30am to 5pm
Monday 14 March – 8am to 5pm

World Kidney Day which takes place on 10 March marks a global campaign aimed at raising awareness of the importance of our kidneys and encourages everyone worldwide to be aware of the disease and actively know what their own kidney health measures are.
