Martina Cleary from Glenamaddy visited UHG this week to present a cheque for €4,250 to the Oncology Unit. Martina was a patient in the Oncology Unit in 2012 and has been generously supporting the unit ever since. The money was raised at a County Music Night in April, the fifth Country Music Night that Martina and her dad Joe Cunniffe have arranged, raising over €21,000 in total for the unit since 2013.

UHG to hold Special Mass of Remembrance

The Children's Remembrance Day Committee, University Hospital Galway is inviting parents and their families who have experienced the death of a child before birth, shortly after birth or at a later stage to remember their loved ones in a special Mass of Remembrance, which will take place this Sunday, 09 June in the Holy Family Church, Mervue at 2.30pm.

The theme of this year’s mass is ‘Remembering’ and the guest speaker will be Caroline Flaherty.
