Visiting Restrictions eased at Portiuncula University Hospital

From Monday 5th July 2021, Portiuncula University Hospital will be easing general visiting restrictions and facilitating visits to patients in the ward areas by appointment. Appointments will be staggered across all ward areas each day between 3:00pm and 4:30pm.

Visiting Restrictions eased at Galway University Hospitals

Galway University Hospitals, in line with guidance issued by national HSE, will be implementing changes to visiting arrangements at both University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park University Hospital with effect from Monday 21st June 2021.

Maternity Department at Letterkenny University Hospital eases visiting restrictions for birthing partners

From Monday May 31 birthing partners will be allowed a daily 30 minute visit to the Maternity Department at Letterkenny University Hospital after the birth of the baby. In addition birthing partners may accompany women to the dating scan as well as the anomaly scan.

Sligo University Hospital reminds the public that there is no visiting permitted at the hospital other than in exceptional circumstances

Sligo University Hospital would like to remind the public that visiting is still not permitted at the hospital, other than in exceptional circumstances.

Visiting restrictions continue at Letterkenny University Hospital

Management at Letterkenny University Hospital is reminding the public that strict visiting restrictions remain in place across the hospital in an effort to protect vulnerable patients and health care staff. Across the hospital visiting is only allowed in end of life circumstances and following discussion with the nursing manger on duty.

In the maternity department, patients are not allowed visitors other than in the following circumstances:

Deferrals at all hospitals in the Saolta Group

The hospitals in the Saolta University Health Care Group* are deferring all but very urgent inpatient, day surgery, diagnostics tests and outpatient appointments from today, Monday March 16th until further notice. This is to ensure that the hospital has the necessary capacity to deal with any increase in suspected and confirmed COVID 19 cases.

Visiting Restrictions in Place at Hospitals in the Saolta Group

All hospitals in the Saolta Group are implementing visiting restrictions from this evening, Friday March 6th. The restrictions will continue into next week and will be kept under review.

The visiting restrictions at Sligo University Hospital remain in place this week.

Management at Sligo University Hospital are requesting that members of the public do not visit the hospital due to a number of cases of diarrhoea and vomiting in the hospital.

Letterkenny University Hospital – Visiting is not permitted due to flu

Due to ongoing cases of flu, Letterkenny University Hospital is asking for the public’s assistance to prevent the spread of infection from the flu and to minimise the chances of it being brought into the hospital.

The hospital would like to remind members of the public that visiting is not permitted at this time.
