Description
This is a very specialised ward; it focuses on surgery of the head face and mouth. We treat head and neck cancers, undertake craniofacial surgery and deal with cranio-maxillofacial traumas. The oral maxillo facial ward accepts traumas from the Emergency Department and from other hospitals. Elective surgery is performed on patients referred to us by General practitioners, where appropriate.
Location
The Oral Maxillo ward consists of four beds which are located on St. Pius’s ward University Hospital Galway, on the second floor. Our office is located on the corridor of St. Enda’s ward UHG.
