Galway University Hospitals Stoma Care information evening
Galway University Hospitals Stoma Care Unit is holding a free public information meeting for anyone who has had stoma surgery on September 21st next at 6.30pm in the Ardilaun Hotel, Galway. Family, friends and carers are also welcome to attend.
Entitled “Living with a stoma“, the evening will focus on quality of life issues and looking at positive influences on living with a stoma.
Stoma care nurse specialists will be talking about improving quality of life for Ostomy patients, discussing abdominal core exercises and some people will be sharing their individual experiences. Clinical Nurse Specialist Mary Quigley will chair the evening. There will be exhibit stands for new ostomy products, underwear/swimwear & support-wear. There will also be an opportunity for those attending to speak to the presenters on a one-to-one basis.
This event will be held in the Ardilaun Hotel, Taylor’s Hill, Galway on the 21st of September from 6.30pm to 9pm, refreshments will be served and there will be various spot prizes on the night.
