First and second doses

  • If you have not had a COVID-19 vaccine yet or if you need your second dose you can either register online for an appointment or attend a walk-in clinic (dates above)
  • If you register online you will be offered an appointment by text message. This is the link to register https://vaccine.hse.ie
  • Parents or guardians of 12 to 15 year olds can register for their children

Booster Doses

  • You do not need to register for a booster dose
  • Around 5 months after you complete your vaccine course you will receive a text message inviting you for a booster
  • If you have had COVID-19 you must wait at least 6 months after your infection to get your booster dose

We are also running walk-in clinics (dates above) for booster doses and these are currently vaccinating people in order of the national prioritisation schedule

If you are aged 70 or over, you'll be invited for your vaccine by your GP

Weak immune system and COVID-19 vaccines - additional dose

Hospitals will identify the people who need an additional dose.

    • You do not need to register or contact anyone.
    • People who need an additional dose will receive a text message with an appointment for their vaccine.
    • These additional doses may be given through a HSE vaccination centre near you, or your hospital if you're an inpatient. GPs may also vaccinate some people.

You will need an appointment for your additional dose. You cannot get an additional dose at a walk-in vaccination clinic

    Pregnant women
The guidance on vaccination for pregnant women has changed and now women at any stage of pregnancy are now encouraged to take up the COVID-19 vaccine following a discussion with their midwife, GP or obstetrician. If advised by their healthcare team, women can register online for a vaccination appointment or go to a walk-in vaccination clinic at any stage of pregnancy.
