Student Vaccination Week

The aim of Student Vaccination Week is to enhance and promote COVID-19 vaccination uptake among young people as they start or go back to college this month and to ensure any students, who have not been vaccinated yet, including international students, have the option to be protected. Saolta are operating COVID-19 vaccine clinics in NUI Galway, Letterkenny IT and IT Sligo this week.

Vaccine uptake among the younger population is very high and this is having a positive impact on the rate of community infection across the region. But as restrictions are easing and on-campus life returns to normal we are asking any student who has not yet been vaccinated, or who needs a second dose, to come forward. No appointment is necessary.
