Cavan Family’s Donation to the Coronary Care Unit at University Hospital Galway

The family of Mrs Mae Reilly from Finea in County Cavan donated a cheque for €800 to the Coronary Care Unit at University Hospital Galway in recognition of the care and respect shown to their mother Mae during her stay in UHG earlier this year. Also, as Mae was transported by helicopter to UHG, the family donated a cheque for €700 to the Community Rapid Response Unit in Cork.

Sinead Duke, Clinical Nurse Manager at the Coronary Care Unit said, “We are very grateful to the entire Reilly family for acknowledging the care that Mae received while a patient with us. In addition to the cheque, the family presented us with a beautiful card and it is on display in our nurses’ station to remind us of Mae, her wonderful family and their generosity.”
