SLIGO 0491 Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (Paediatrics)

This CNM3 post will ensure the oversight of safe patient care across the Paediatric service (incorporating ED, OPD, Paediatric Ward, Paediatric Day Unit, ICU, surgical and medical paediatric services and other areas children attend eg, the Paediatric diabetes service).

The CNM3 Paediatrics will support the effective and efficient management of scheduled and unscheduled care through Paediatric services.

The CNM3 post will play a critical role in the critically ill/ injured and/or deteriorating child, while in ED/NICU/Paediatric ward or ICU prior to transfer to a tertiary centre and will work collaboratively with CNM3 ED & ICU to ensure safe and appropriate care is delivered.

The CNM3 post will have oversight of schedule care in the Paediatric Day Unit and any future developments

The post holder will also deputise for the Assistant Director of Nursing, Children’s Services in their absence.

The post holder will provide out of hours nursing and midwifery hospital management.
