How to Refer:                  GP referral by telephone, see below

                                           GP should telephone the Roscommon University Hospital Switchboard on 090 6626200 between the hours of 9am to 5pm.
                                           Switchboard will then transfer the GP to the mobile phone of the On Call Physician. The On Call Physician will discuss the
                                           case with the GP and decide whether the patient can be accepted for assessment / admission. Once the patient is accepted
                                           by the On Call Physician, the GP completes a detailed letter to accompany the patient. GPs are requested to inform the unit
                                           of a patient who has diarrhoea and or vomiting or any other condition which is transmissible.
