Minor Upgrading Work commencing at Sligo Regional Hospital, Emergency Department

Minor upgrading work is commencing in the Emergency Department at Sligo Regional Hospital on Monday 30 September.

Commenting on the planned works, Grainne McCann, General Manager said, “The upgrading works will involve creating a dedicated treatment and waiting area for children, an improved minor injuries area and an additional reception area. The works are due to be completed in December.

“Patients attending the Emergency Department may be inconvenienced during the works which may on occasion cause minor delays. We would like to apologise in advance for any disruption that the works may cause; the Emergency Department is a very busy Department and some inconvenience is to be expected in order to facilitate these improvements.

"The hospital would like to thank the public for their co-operation during this time."
