Relocation of Letterkenny Vaccination Centre to Letterkenny Business Park

The Letterkenny vaccination centre has moved from the Kilmacrennan Road to a new location in Building 1b, Letterkenny Business Park, Ballyraine, Letterkenny, F92 FP83. The new centre is on the N56 link road (beside the Post Office Depot) and will have signage from the approach roads.

The new centre is bigger and has greater capacity to support the rollout of the booster programme for the people of Donegal.

National Guidance on Visiting in Acute Hospitals

Following new national guidance on visiting, visitors to all hospitals will be asked to produce their EU Digital COVID Certificate or HSE COVID-19 Vaccination Record or other proof of immunity at the entrance. Visitors may be asked to show some photo ID to prove that the proof of immunity is theirs.

Galway Hospitals supporting UNICEF’s Childhood Immunisation Programme

This year staff working in Galway and Portiuncula University Hospitals are supporting UNICEF’s Childhood Immunisation Programme through the ‘Get a Vaccine, Give a Vaccine’ initiative.

Visiting Update for Roscommon University Hospital

Following new national guidance on visiting, visitors to all hospitals will be asked to produce their EU Digital COVID Certificate or HSE COVID-19 Vaccination Record or other proof of immunity at the entrance. Visitors may be asked to show some photo ID to prove that the proof of immunity is theirs.

There are exemptions from the requirement for the EU Digital COVID Certificate or HSE COVID-19 Vaccination Record or other proof of immunity, on compassionate grounds.

Visiting Update for Galway University Hospitals

Following a review of visiting times at University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park University Hospital, from Wednesday 01 December, visiting will now be permitted during the following times:

  • 2pm – 3pm
  • 6pm – 7pm

Access to visitors is limited to one person per patient each day. Visits must be pre-arranged by family members / visitors, who should contact the relevant ward or unit in advance.

Walk-in Vaccination Clinic for first and second dose COVID-19 vaccine in Mayo on Friday

Anyone aged 12 and older who hasn’t yet received their first dose COVID-19 vaccine, can go to the walk-in vaccination clinic at Breaffy House Resort on Friday 03 December between 6.30pm and 8pm and get their vaccine.

People who are waiting for their second dose Pfizer vaccine may also come to this walk-in clinic, once the interval of 21 days between doses has been reached.

Walk-in Vaccination Clinics for first and second dose COVID-19 vaccine in Sligo this week

Anyone aged 12 and older who hasn’t yet received their first dose COVID-19 vaccine, can go to one of the following walk-in vaccination clinics at Sligo Racecourse this week and get their vaccine.

Sligo Racecourse, Walk-in Vaccination Clinic for Dose 1 or Dose 2 only

  • Thursday 02 December, from 1pm to 8pm.
  • Sunday 05 December, from 9am to 5pm.

No appointment needed.

Walk-in Clinics in Mayo for Booster Vaccines for People in their 60s and Healthcare Workers

The Breaffy House Resort Vaccination Centre will be holding walk-in booster vaccination clinics at specific times over the coming days for healthcare workers and people aged 60 to 69 who have reached an interval of at least 152 days since their second dose vaccine. People in these two groups that received the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine can also get their booster at a walk-in clinic if they have an interval of at least 3 months since their vaccination.

Walk-in Clinics in Sligo and Leitrim for Booster Vaccines for People in their 60s and Healthcare Workers Next Week

The COVID-19 Vaccination Centres in Sligo and Carrick on Shannon will be holding walk-in booster vaccination clinics at specific times next week for healthcare workers and people aged 60 to 69 who have reached an interval of at least 152 days since their second dose vaccine. People in these two groups that received the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine can also get their booster at a walk-in clinic if they have an interval of at least 3 months since their vaccination.
