Presentation of cheque by the Castleblakeney Fundraising Committee to the Cancer Services Patient Comfort Fund at Galway University Hospitals

Members of the Castleblakeney Fundraising Committee presenting a cheque for €8,603 to Galway University Hospitals (GUH) this week. The funds were raised during last October’s Bank Holiday weekend from events such as a Farmers’ Market, Fancy Dress, Children’s Disco, Cycles, Walks, Head Shaves and a Night in the Bog. The fundraising was undertaken by the Committee in appreciation of the care received by family members and neighbours who have availed of Cancer Services in GUH and the donation went to the Cancer Services Patient Comfort Fund at the hospital.
