Initial assignment will be to University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park hospitals.

Post Specific Related Information 

• The cCNS will have a pivotal role within the multidisciplinary team developing Diabetes services, developing service plans, co-ordinating and managing activity & resources.
• The cCNS will be working as part of the comprehensive regional Diabetes programmes.  
• To co-ordinate the provision of patient centred care both in hospital and in the community.
• To provide evidenced based patient care.
• To provide comprehensive education and support to patients with Diabetes.
• The main responsibilities are quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, facilitating communication and professional/clinical leadership.
