€57,309 €59,463 €61,727 €64,032 €66,363

New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.

The Radiology Department in Mayo University Hospital provides a comprehensive range of general and specialised imaging services to our patients in a digital environment. Both adult and paediatric imaging are provided across a wide range of specialities. In particular, Radiology services a very busy Oncology and Orthopaedic trauma and elective service as well as GP and other Consultant referrals. Post holder may be required to rotate to Primary Care Centres to meet service needs.

The general department comprises of 5 digital general rooms with CR, digital fluoroscopy, and theatre image intensification. There are 4 ultrasound scanners performing a wide range of sonographic studies. The department has a CT & MRI installed, a new CT unit is due for completion Q4 2023. There are satellite x-ray and ultrasound units across Co. Mayo.
NIMIS PACS and McKesson RIS are in use across Mayo radiology services.
